Here is a Gravity Feed oiler in which rate of oil flow may be regulated by a needle valve. Sight in stem permits direct observation of rate at which oil is being fed to bearing. Needle valve is adjusted by turning knurled screw just above lock nut; screw operates against a spring ratchet to retain adjustment of flow rate. Shut-off knob at top of oiler does not affect needle valve adjustment, and permits positive cut-off of oil flow during idle periods. |
Once rate of oil flow has been established and adjusted, adjustment is positively locked by serrated nut- permitting accurate operation by simply lifting and turning on-and-off knob at top. Cross Section applies to Unbreakable series.
